Fly

Flying down to Placencia from Belize City (a 30 minute flight) is the method we most recommend. Most Resorts offer there guests complimentary pick-up and return service to the Placencia Airstrip, however you could just get a taxi to go the resort of the Village. We can also arrange your local flights at no extra cost.

Drive

If you are planning to make a tour of the country, spending a few days in the mountains and a few days at the beach, you might want to rent a car. Use Expedia.com’s Car Reservation Wizard to find a rental car. However, if you are just coming to Robert’s Grove, we suggest that you fly to Placencia. The scenery driving down is quite lovely, but chances are, once you make the drive down, you won’t feel like driving back (and if you are renting a car in Belize, you must return your vehicle to where you picked it up).

Bus

Because the roads are only partially paved, it takes 3 hours to drive down from Belize City, and you can never be sure what the road conditions are going to be like.
